Joe Stains 3/6/1999 - 5/31/2011

Joe Stains crossed the Rainbow Bridge today. He went peacefully at our wonderful Vet office wrapped in his New York Yankees blanket.

  2. The pug that lived here before me, Stubby, went to the Bridge in January. He read your blog every day for years and he loved it. It cheered him up when he had the sickies, keeping him laughing all the time. Thank you for sharing Joe. He was awesome and will never be forgotten.

We unfortunately never had the pleasure of knowing Joe Stains, but we would come across his Comments once in a while and woof and laugh at his funny remarks. Such a great pup!

I've loved reading about Joey and Tanner since I found them on Boston_Buddies years ago, and I always shared their adventures with my Charlie, who loved them too.     To Joey's Mom, Dad and Tanner-I am so sorry to read about your loss. I've read many of Joey's blogs over the years and was caught chuckling out loud many times! When you posted the picture of Joey walking with his Hero on his 12th birthday all I could think of was the song (this will cause the leaky eye) "You'll Never Walk Alone". I just read about Joey's passing on The Mango & Dexter's bloggy. i am so sorry. i have read this blog every time you have put up a new post since I started blogging just a few years ago and you had me hooked from the first bloggy entry i read of yours. every time i see anything "Steelers" related or that guy with all the hair on the Steelers team i think of Joey.
